During these last classes, you will develop the final project.

The project consists of a short research and presentation about one disease that will be assigned to you by the teacher. You will work in groups assigned by the teacher.

Please follow the instructions day by day so you can complete the tasks:

Open a shared document where you and your partner will work during the next days. Then, do the research using any search engine (AI is not allowed). The idea is to use at least 4 trustworthy websites (you must write in parenthesis where is the information from)

Your research must include:

  • Introduction to the organ that is affected explaining how it normally works

  • What is the disease?

  • What causes it?

  • What are the symptoms?

  • How can it be treated?

  • Statistics about the disease (% of people suffering from it)

  • Any other relevant information you consider worth knowing about it.

  • References (Not necessarily APA, but make sure they are trustworthy websites)

Group 1: Hepatitis                                             Group 6: Arthritis

Group 2: Asthma                                             Group 7: Anemia

Group 3:  Pneumonia                                           Group 8: Leukemia

Group 4: Osteoporosis                                Group 9: Muscular Distrophy

          Group 5: Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

During this day you will continue creating a presentation about the disease you did the research about. You will distribute the parts to be presented and the presentation will start.

Your presentation will have a maximum of 10 slides.

Every pair will present the disease and the rest

of the group will pay close attention. Then, the

group will take a short test to check if they can

identify the main characteristics of these diseases.
